Why: I've grown tired of people saying it can't be Christian Bale. I've even grown tired of Christian Bale saying it can't be Christian Bale. That's because of Warner Bros., Zack Snyder and David S. Goyer are going to make the Dark Knight who takes on the Man of Steel in or close to his 40s the best actor to play him is clearly…Christian Bale. Of course, Bale has already played Batman three times and might just be sick of it. Then again, new story lines, new director, new vision. Why not? Does this Batman have to be the same one he played in The Dark Knight Trilogy? No, no it doesn't. Maybe it's an echo of that Batman. Maybe it's an alternate earth version of him (for those playing at home that means the "Man of Steel" world is a different version of our planet than the "Dark Knight" movies). Moreover, if you're looking for a reason why beyond a very handsome paycheck and the adulation of fanboys (and girls) everywhere Mr. Bale, just look to the stage. Different actors have played the same Shakespeare character in different plays with different directors. It's called acting. And you're perfect for the part.
