High: Sally Draper Kisses a Nerd
July 20, 1969 was a glorious day for Neils. With the entire world glued to their TV sets, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon. And later that night, Nerdy Neil, son of Betty's college chum Caroline, got a kiss from Sally Draper. For Neil Armstrong, it was one small step for man, but one giant leap for mankind. For Nerdy Neil? Well, he didn't know what to do next, but his mother called him in for bedtime, saving him from awkward embarrassment. And what did Neil do to earn his kiss? Well, he wasn't a condescending douche, minimalizing a moment of global unity and significance, like his stud muffin brother. And he showed Sally the heavens, or at least helped her look through Bobby's telescope. And he saved her from cancer, or at least told Sally not to smoke. OK, fine. Neil was a bit condescending himself, but sometimes it pays to have the right name in the right place on the right night.
