In 2005, Eminem's future was unknown, as he threatened to pull from the rap game altogether. "When I'm Gone" alluded to the reasons why. His family life suffered, and his travels were wearying. This was one of three new tracks on compilation "Curtain Call: The Hits," and it made it to No. 8 on the big pop chart.
