Known For: Rebooting James T. Kirk in two "Star Trek" films and Jack Ryan in the upcoming "Jack Ryan."
In His Favor: If you need to reboot a beloved franchise, Hollywood regulations require you contact Chris Pine. And not only is one of his rebooted roles already a part made famous by Harrison Ford, but the other rebooted role has been overseen by the new High Priest of "Star Wars" J.J. Abrams. Plus, cocky-yet-noble is pretty much Pine's wheelhouse.
Against Him: If they're going Young Solo, Pine may be too old at this point, or at least on the older side. He's not as cheap as he once was. And, let's be honest, there's a limit to how many potential franchises any one man can be expected to front and just because Disney is saying this would be a "stand-alone" Han Solo film, does anybody truly believe if it's a hit, it wouldn't have sequels?
