Grammy voters like to bet on an artist’s future, so consideration for the award includes how they think it will fare in the years to come. In that case, Ocean is a clear front runner, especially given that “Channel Orange” is also a likely nominee for Best New Album. His writing displays a spectacular depth of emotion and he’s a commercial and critical favorite. Like One Direction, he’s a sure bet for a nod.
