Highlights: Ratings went up, which can at least be partly attributed to a fresh/youth-serving face as emcee. The opening monologue that was so maligned by the time "We Saw Your Boobs" rolled around was actually, in this viewer's humble opinion, funny and irreverent in the right doses.
Lowlights: It probably wasn't the best time -- not that there's a GOOD time -- to be putting out a vague misogynistic tone, even if that tone was a bit overstated in media reaction to the show. Well -- the Kathryn Bigelow crack about a woman never letting something go…that one's hard to defend.
