Worst: Laundry-list, cut-off speeches

With tonight's winners clearly fearful of being cut off before they had the chance to get through everyone on their "thank you" lists, many of the acceptance speeches this evening lacked the sort of spontaneity and passion that would've made them more memorable. Coming in on time was obviously a big priority at the Globes tonight - and hey, it worked - but it had the side-effect of producing a lot of dry speeches. When accepting the award for Best Picture - Drama, "The Artist" producer Thomas Langmann was even forced to begin his stint at the podium by noting they'd been told to wrap it up quickly, even though the show was well on its way to coming in on schedule. Really, guys?
