Katherine Heigl, Neil Patrick Harris and Anna Paquin are among the biggest winners and losers of Emmy morning
Loser: Katherine Heigl
We hate to say it, but this one sure feels personal. Katherine Heigl's performance on "Grey's Anatomy" was outstanding, especially in the final five or six episodes. Instead, the Academy decided to recognize Chandra Wilson and Sandra Oh in her category. Then, to rub salt in her wounds, Emmy voters gave a guest starring nomination to Sharon Lawrence, who played her mother in one key episode. We'll say it, though: If Emmys are supposed to recognize TV excellence, Heigl got hosed. Also undeservedly left off? Her co-star Justin Chambers, who may have suffered from proximity.
