From 'The Avengers' to 'E.T.' - 20 Reasons to own a Blu-ray player in Fall 2012
For a format that's supposedly on the way out, Blu-ray's looking pretty good
"Total Recall: Mind-Bending Edition"
While I don't believe this is anywhere near as classic a Verhoeven effort as "Robocop," I am curious to see what it looks like when someone takes the time to remaster this one properly. It's a tough film to transfer to home video, even with the dynamic visual range that Blu-ray offers, but this should arrive just in time to remind people how even a lesser Verhoeven effort offers more real kink and big ideas than any Hollywood remake of his material could ever hope to muster.
