From 'The Avengers' to 'E.T.' - 20 Reasons to own a Blu-ray player in Fall 2012
For a format that's supposedly on the way out, Blu-ray's looking pretty good

You'll be able to buy a ten-disc collection of this film and all the Marvel movies that led up to it if you want to really wallow in the success of Phase One of the Marvel Movie Universe, but I'll probably stick with the 4-disc deluxe Blu-ray edition myself, which includes things like an "Inspired By" album, a gag reel (something Marvel hasn't done for most of their movies), documentaries, a Joss Whedon audio commentary, and almost a half-hour's worth of deleted scenes. This is a must, and a nice way to round out what has been one of the year's biggest success stories.
