Film she went "bad" for: "Chloe"
Why it was shocking: After having fun in "Mean Girls" (with Lindsay Lohan) and "Mamma Mia!," 2009 found Seyfried dabbling in darker territory, including the horror comedy "Jennifer's Body" and this steamy indie. Atom Egoyan's stylish erotic thriller explores themes of love, lust and infidelity, while prompting the characters -- and the viewers -- to question their assumptions and beliefs. A remake of the 2003 French film "Nathalie...," "Chloe" finds Seyfried filling the stilettos of the more overtly sensual "Nathalie..." lead Emmanuelle Beart, but adding a more deceptive, and believable, sheen of innocence.
