Victor Salva's debut feature, a horror film about three kids being menaced by escaped mental patients in clown garb, is less remembered for its Sundance credentials (it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, somehow) than for Salva's subsequent conviction for molesting one of the film's underage stars.
