The slinky villainess got a trio of campy interpretations in the original TV series (Eartha Kitt, Julie Newmar and Lee Meriwether all played the character during the show's run) before being given a still campy-but-much-darker spin by Michelle Pfeiffer in "Batman Returns." The character (referred to only as Selina Kyle) was revived two decades later by Anne Hathaway in "The Dark Knight Rises," who true to the Nolan trilogy ditched the camp for a more serious-minded portrayal.
