'The New Normal' (NBC)
Best remembered for: Ryan Murphy's less-than-triumphant NBC voyage, as well as his less-than-triumphant detour into half-hour comedy. "The New Normal" actually had some fans, but after the fall season of "The Voice" ended, ratings dwindled to increasingly low levels and, finally, even NBC couldn't renew it. Oh and there was that one bigoted Salt Lake City affiliate that wouldn't air it, but otherwise the show yielded almost no controversy at all.
Appropriate funeral song: Sister Sledge's "We Are Family"
In lieu of flowers: Send perfectly fabulous and flamboyant baby clothing for that "New Normal" baby who apparently was born, but never will have the opportunity to be marginalized as all sitcom babies tend to be.
