15 21st century movies that shouldn't be remade

What new classics have we declared off-limits?

Superbad (2007)

Superbad (2007)

Why someone would want to remake it: A teen comedy about three outsiders/geeks/nerds (pick your prejorative term) who crash parties, attempt to lose their virginity, engage local law enforcement and come to terms with heading to different colleges in the fall all in one night?  Assuming kids in the future still go to high school that's probably a formula that will work on the big screen for quite a long time.

Why they shouldn't:
You can play with the formula, but if it's a true classic like "Superbad" you shouldn't try to remake it. There's a reason no one has remade John Hughes' films from the 80's or teen classics such as "Clueless" from the 90's. The originals still resonate with younger generations.  Chances are you remake it and teenagers will smell a shameless attempt at box office extortion a mile away.

If your analyzing, in Kill Bill she spends years training, is hospitalized and recovers and enacts revenge, there is no additional training

No one would remake Avatar because it's a remake itself. You can't fool me James Cameron. You made Dances With Wolves in HD. I wish Hollywood would come up with a fucking original plot and stop stealing classics and calling them their own.

JT Complaining that those two movies as well the: stealing from an 'original story', that that has, "the same plot" sounds' silly and shows that Aaron lacks basic literary training. *Why, he would spend his time better explaining the letter 'A' being retold in his name 'Aaron'!
