Fashion Fix: The good, the bad and the meh on the red carpet this week
Some stars sparkled, and some appeared to be wearing wrinkled bedsheets
It's the hazy, lazy, sorta crazy days of summer -- and it seems some celebrities are using that as a license to wear outfits that should have been sent off to Goodwill instead of memorialized on the red carpet. Take a look at the week in fashion with Meryl Streep, Brooke Shields, Jennifer Garner and other stars to find out who scored, who flopped, and who looked just plain blah.

dan Guest - Liane has done regular Red Carpet write-ups for HitFix over the years. Also, when I look over our homepage, I see interviews, reviews, news stories and... one fashion gallery. Not quite "Fashion Police."

guest I'm not calling HitFix fashion police for the volume of fashion related articles, I'm referring to the fact that it's an article skewering stars' red carpet fashion, like it's the fashion police or something.It seems out of place on HitFix, and more like something you'd find on E!online.

dan Weed4504 - You'd be hard-pressed to disagree because I can dig up red carpet commentary Liane has done for every award show in the past two-ish years. It's been a regular part of our award show coverage.

Sometimes, ya gotta mix stuff up a little!
