Sure, Veronica Lake didn't have to use hairpins, but let's give Kirsten major points for channeling some old school glam. The dress is va-voom, the bright pop of red lipstick keeps us focused on her face (really, where else do you want people to look, unless you're Christina Hendricks?) and the whole ensemble screams old Hollywood.
