Where We Left Things: Oh, who cares?!? "Revenge" capped off a wretched second season last May and it's my genuine hope that 95 percent of what happened in the second season will be ignored, forgotten or rewritten.
Why We're Excited To Have It Back: The name of this gallery is not "Shows We're Most Anticipating Because We Love Them and They're Awesome" and it isn't at all inaccurate to say that I'm anticipating the start of "Revenge" Season 3. Series creator Mike Kelley departed "Revenge" at the end of last season and it's worth checking in to see how new showrunner Sunil Nayar's regime will functionally reboot the show. Will we get a streamlined "Revenge" that returns to the guilty pleasure quality of the first season? Or will "Revenge" continue to spin wildly out of control, illustrating the difficulties of doing a highly serialized narrative on a network 22-episode-per-season pace? If it's the former, kudos to Nayar and "Revenge." If it's the latter, "Revenge" can be dropped from the DVR rotation, making room for something else. That's worth anticipating!
