Lowdown: Wes Anderson leaps into the world of stop-motion animation with this adaptation of the beloved Roald Dahl children's book. Will his sensibilities match those of one of the great English authors, and how intentional is the film's low-tech look glimpsed in the first trailer?
Why It's A Must: Early word from those who have seen the film is that it absolutely feels like a Wes Anderson movie, with many of his interests from earlier films well-represented in his approach. Dahl has a wicked sense of humor, and Anderson seems like a perfect fit for that sensibility, taking an adult approach to what might typically be treated as juvenile material.
