Justin Timberlake and Louis C.K. shine as 'New Girl' is snubbed
It may not get the attention that "Game of Thrones," "Boardwalk Empire" or "Girls" receives, but HBO's "Veep" had an impressive second year in terms of Emmy nominations. The series received five nominations including outstanding comedy series, lead actress (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), supporting actor (Tony Hale' first Emmy nod), supporting actress (Anna Chlumsky's first Emmy nod) and casting for a comedy series. Was it disappointing the show didn't earn writing or directing nods? Sure, but considering the show only received three nods in its inaugural season creators Armando Iannucci and Simon Blackwell have a lot more to celebrate this time around.
