John Krasinski of 'The Office'
John Krasinski, "The Office"
Nomination Status: Never nominated before, but could he get a final season boost?
In His Favor: There are a lot of question marks in this category because it's hard to predict if Emmy voters will have nostalgia for the last seasons of "The Office" and "30 Rock" and if they'll respond to the a typical distribution model for former favorite "Arrested Development." I have a real soft spot for the work Krasinski did in the closing episodes of "The Office." The relationship discord between Jim and Pam generated a strong emotional undercurrent for the end of the season and Krasinski's comedic work with Rainn Wilson in those climactic episodes was also impressive. Without a true lead in the final season, "The Office" had to lean on Krasinski and it generally worked out well.
Working Against Him: Zero Emmy nominations for Krasinski during the whole "Office" series run. It feels like Rainn Wilson, a frequent former nominee, is a more likely candidate for a send-off nod.
