Amy Poehler of 'Parks and Recreation'
Amy Poehler, "Parks and Recreation"
Nomination Status: Keeps getting nominated for stuff without winning.
In Her Favor: It was yet another year in which Amy Poehler produced and wrote and directed for "Parks and Recreation," while still giving one of the funniest and most heart-warming performances on TV. As usual, she shined when she worked with Adam Scott and Rashida Jones and Nick Offerman, but this year she also found hilarious moments when paired with the likes of Patton Oswalt and Joe Biden. I'll point, once again, to the perfection of the wedding episode and I needn't go any further. Oh and Poehler and Tina Fey weathered hosting the Golden Globes successfully enough that people still suggest the two of them for every open hosting gig.
Working Against Her: For the nomination? Nothing. Eventually, though, she needs to win something or else we're going to move into a Steve Carell realm of sadness.
