Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy
Last Year's Nominees:
Jon Cryer, "Two and a Half Men"
Larry David, "Curb Your Enthusiasm"
Alec Baldwin, "30 Rock"
Don Cheadle, "House of Lies"
Louis C.K., "Louie"
Jim Parsons, "The Big Bang Theory"
Attrition: Admit it: I could have held a match to your toes and you wouldn't have remembered who won this category last year. You'd have said, "It must have been Alec Baldwin or Jim Parsons, right? It's always Alec Baldwin or Jim Parsons." Wrong-o. Jon Cryer moved up from Supporting and pulled off a pretty big stunner, especially if you didn't pay attention to his strong submission episode. Well, Larry David is gone for this year, but former nominee Matt LeBlanc wasn't eligible last year and could plausibly return.
