Emmy Nomination Preview 2012 - Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy
Two 'Modern Family' frontrunners return, but will older actresses crash the field?
Kaley Cuoco of 'The Big Bang Theory'

Nomination Status: Former Lead might gain more support in a new category.
In Her Favor: Like regular viewers, Emmy voters quite like "The Big Bang Theory." Despite enough support to get the series an Outstanding Comedy nomination and even to snag Johnny Galecki as Lead Actor nod, Cuoco was never able to break through as a lead actress nominee. That's why, even though she's still kinda the female lead on the show, it's smart that she dropped to supporting for this year. If Emmy voters are still into the show, Cuoco could easily coast to her first nomination and provided you concentrate on her interactions with two-time winner Jim Parsons, a nomination wouldn't be at all undeserved.
Working Against Her: Cuoco spends most of her time on "Big Bang Theory" as the straight-woman and in this category, she's going up against much showier performances from Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.
