Nick Offerman of 'Parks and Recreation'
Nick Offerman, "Parks and Recreation"
Nomination Status: It's like "The Secret." If you keep putting it out there, maybe one day it'll happen.
In His Favor: Nick Offerman is one of the six best comedic supporting actors on TV. That's a declarative statement, not a piece of opinion or speculation. If you disagree, you're incorrect. Ergo, Emmy voters have now been incorrect several years in a row. "Parks and Recreation" went from one Emmy nod to three between 2010 and 2011. If you pretend/assume that that constitutes "momentum" with voters, eventually, failure to include Ron Swanson becomes a cardinal sin.
Working Against Him: No Emmy nominations. No Globes nominations. No SAG Award nominations. Emmy voters aren't prone to reversing course when it comes to shows that have been on for four seasons.
