Nomination Status: Doubtful. But it would be well-earned.

In His Favor: I went back and forth and back and forth on this one between Wayans and Adam Pally. In Pally's favor were the polarizing bear episode and Mandonna. In Wayans' favor? The trip to the dentist set to "Kick in the Head" and Brad & Jane's Spring Smackdown. The tie-breaker? Wayans was in the pilot for "New Girl" and not only couldn't they recast him, but they struggled all season to fill the void. Pally was in the pilot for "Best Friends Forever" and NBC just found a Poor Man's Adam Pally. Neither of them is going to get an Emmy nomination, but either one of them would be plenty worthy..

Working Against Him: If Emmys were voted on by my Twitter feed, there's a strong chance either Wayans or Pally could get a nomination. They are not.
