Edie Falco of 'Nurse Jackie'
Edie Falco, "Nurse Jackie"
Nomination Status: Predicting against Edie Falco is probably a foolish thing to do, but I say she misses out.
In Her Favor: Falco has four Emmy wins, including one win for "Nurse Jackie." Falco pretty much gets nominated for Emmys when she's eligible for Emmys and there was a strong feeling that that recently completed fourth season of "Nurse Jackie" was a pretty big improvement over the two previous seasons, with Falco reveling in finally getting to play some of the repercussions for Jackie's behavior and addiction.
Working Against Her: Most of these galleries are favoring Emmy complacency over Emmy distraction for shiny new things, but for this gallery, I'm predicting a lot of turnover, so somebody's got to go. Falco dropped out of the Golden Globe nomination field earlier this year, but didn't drop out of the SAG Awards individual field, so she still has some support. Already I'm wondering if I should have predicted Falco in the field and McCarthy dropping out.
