Courteney Cox, "Cougar Town"

Nomination Status: Two years of not getting nominations for "Cougar Town" probably won't change.

In Her Favor: Once upon a time, Courteney Cox was nominated for a Golden Globe for "Cougar Town," which was a little odd. I happen to think that Season 3 was probably Cox's best work on her ABC-to-TBS comedy, as the writers became more and more confident at making Jules eccentric and quirky, without making it feel like she was dragging down a great ensemble.

Working Against Her: Emmy voters haven't noticed "Cougar Town" before and the year ABC held the show for late midseason, aired and pulled it at random intervals and then set it free to go to TBS will not be the year Emmy voters notice.
