Patrick J. Adams of 'Suits'
Patrick J. Adams, "Suits"
Nomination Status: Never underestimate the power of SAG members among the Television Academy.
In His Favor: Patrick J. Adams' nomination was the biggest stunner on SAG Awards Nomination Morning. I'm not going to attempt to get into the "Hows" or "Whys" of his nomination, only to note that the mere fact it occurred at all suggests that there's a vein of support for Patrick J. Adams and his performance on "Suits." If you have support among actors, you have a strong core of support among TV Academy members. He didn't hurt his cause with a decent performance on "Luck" during the spring.
Working Against Him: Adams' nomination was greeted with incredulity in all circles. He'd never even really been considered a contender previously. That nomination got him got him into the conversation. See? He's got his own slide in this gallery. I still don't think he's a serious contender.
