Nomination Status: Last chance to recognize Leary one last time will probably go untaken.
In His Favor: Leary's "Rescue Me" performance earned him two previous Emmy nominations and there was a pretty strong consensus among people who stuck with the show that Leary and company delivered a strong conclusion. [I wouldn't know. I left the "Rescue Me" Express long ago.]
Working Against Him: Leary doesn't have a "Rescue Me" nomination since 2007. That's a long time ago. This is too tough a category for anybody to regain a nomination after that time away.
