Archie Panjabi returns, but who will join her in the field?
Lauren Hodges of 'Rubicon'
Lauren Hodges, "Rubicon"
Nomination Status: This is *my* gallery, darnit. But no. Hodges is as likely to get an Emmy nomination as "Rubicon" is of getting a second season.
In Her Favor: When AMC canceled "Rubicon," I wasn't disappointed by the abrupt to conclusion to any ongoing story arcs. [Well, I *was* but only a little.] I was disappointed that I wasn't going to get to spend any more time with the twitchy intelligence analysts played by James Badge Dale, Dallas Roberts and Lauren Hodges. Coming into the series, I knew Dale and Roberts, but Hodges was a vaguely familiar face with no previous defining roles. That blank slate meant that I was often most interested in Hodges' Tanya MacGaffin, with her haunted eyes and her off-kilter reactions to everything. If memory serves, the character was going back to academia/research as the season ended? I'd watch that spin-off!
Working Against Her: As much as I loved Hodges on "Rubicon," even I don't think I'd put her in my Top 6. But she'd be close.
