Archie Panjabi returns, but who will join her in the field?
Aimee Teegarden of 'Friday Night Lights'
Aimee Teegarden, "Friday Night Lights"
Nomination Status: Now that Emmy voters have noticed Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler, maybe they'll look just a bit down the call sheet. But probably they won't.
In Her Favor: For years now, Teegarden has crafting one of TV's most believable teenage characters, even making the most of some of the show's least successful plotlines. When thinking back on Teegarden's work this season, ignore all of the nonsense with the TA. Yeah, that was bad, but none of it was Teegarden's fault. Remember, instead, the scenes with Julie Taylor quietly realizing the depth of her father's disappointment in her, but also the depth of his love. Great stuff.
Working Against Her: Before last year, Emmy voters liked to pretend that "Friday Night Lights" didn't exist. Those nods for Chandler and Britton were nice, but it's too late to believe there's an "FNL" groundswell coming.
