Merritt Wever, "Nurse Jackie"

Nomination Status: If Emmy voters keep noticing Edie Falco, maybe eventually they notice Wever?

In Her Favor: You'd think this would have happened already? Wever is a manic ball of comedic energy on a show which, without her (and Peter Facinelli), could barely be considered a comedy and yet keeps getting nominated for things in comedic categories. Surely Emmy voters should want to thank Wever for allowing them to nominate Edie Falco in a category she otherwise shouldn't be considered in? And, again, it's not like Wever is giving a quiet and understated performance. She's broad and rather awesome. Voters have noticed "Nurse Jackie." How is it possible they keep missing its MVP?

Working Against Her: But alas, they do keep missing her. Over and over again. And Emmy voters aren't the only one. Golden Globe and SAG Awards voters keep missing Wever also. Boo.
