Peter Dinklage of 'Game of Thrones'
Peter Dinklage, "Game of Thrones"
Nomination Status: Too perfect a performance not to make the cut
In His Favor: Nearly everybody who read George R.R. Martin's "Game of Thrones" immediately pictured Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister. If anything, Dinklage has been *better* than ardent fans or Martin himself possibly could have hoped for. All of the performances on "Game of Thrones" have been surprisingly good, but Dinklage raises the entire series around him.
Working Against Him: The only thing going against Dinklage is the question of how quickly Emmy voters will warm to "Game of Thrones," which only premiered in April.
