Walton Goggins of 'Justified'
Walton Goggins, "Justified"
Nomination Status: You'd think he'd be too good to be ignored... Expect to be annoyed.
In His Favor: Without any question, if *I'm* determining the Emmy nominees, Goggins gets a nomination. Goggins, Margo Martindale and Timothy Olyphant all deserve recognition for the giant leap "Justified" took this past season. His Boyd Crowder has the conscience of a criminal, the soul of a reverend and the silver tongue of a con man. It's a great character and a great performance.
Working Against Him: Yes, Goggins *deserves* an Emmy nomination this year. He also deserved one last year for "Justified." And he deserved nominations for at least the last two or three seasons of "The Shield." Will FX finally be able to get him his nomination this year? It feels like a challenge.
