Ian Somerhalder of 'The Vampire Diaries'
Ian Somerhalder, "The Vampire Diaries"
Nomination Status: HAHAHA. OK. Done laughing now.
In His Favor: If people watched "Vampire Diaries" and took the show seriously, it's hard not to be impressed by the devilish amount of fun Somerhalder is having. And when Damon needs to be tortured and pained, Somehalder has pulled that off as well. I mean, I laughed at his Emmy chances, but that doesn't mean I don't admire the performance. That's why he's in this gallery, darnit.
Working Against Him: "Vampire Diaries" is a show about vampires and it's a show on The CW. In Emmy math, that actually counts as THREE strikes (being on The CW is almost three strikes on its own). So instead of being in the running for Emmys, Somerhalder will have to keep competing against the "Supernatural" boys in Hunk-of-the-Year contests on various websites.
