In His Favor: No actor in this category is more committed to performance extremes than Danny McBride. And that means that when "Eastbound & Down" is funny, it's painfully funny.
Working Against Him: "Eastbound & Down" is an acquired taste and it's unlikely to suit the tastes of Emmy voters, once again. McBride has had a handful of mostly-failed movies that could have raised his profile in the eyes of voters. Oh well...
