Emmy Nomination Preview 2010 - Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama
Cherry Jones won't repeat, so will a 'Grey's Anatomy' or 'Mad Men' co-star top the field?
Maggie Siff of 'Sons of Anarchy'
Maggie Siff, "Sons of Anarchy"
Nomination Status: We're on to the "wishful thinking" part of the ballot now.
In Her Favor: We're not sure that Siff's Tara had a full episode that would get her on any voter's ballot, but check out her scenes with Katey Sagal, who gave TV's best performance by a lead actress this season, to see just how good she was. Or witness her brutally cathartic sequence with the sniveling hospital administrator toward the end of the season. Siff deserves a little notice, just as she did on "Mad Men" when she was similarly over-shadowed.
Working Against Her: Until "Sons of Anarchy" breaks through, we're going to assume it's another show Emmy voters just aren't aware of.
