With Kristin Chenoweth gone, will 'Glee' or 'Modern Family' stars step up?
Jenna Fischer of 'The Office'
Jenna Fischer, "The Office"
Nomination Status: Could have the episodes to make a surprise reappearance.
In Her Favor: "The Office" wasn't very good this past season. In fact, at times it was kinda awful. But if you look at the way the Emmys operate and then look at Fischer's available submission episodes, she has a very persuasive case. Whether she went with "Niagra" (the wedding episode), "The Delivery" (the baby episode) or "The Lover" (the Michael's banging Pam's mom episode), Fischer found a way to shine in what few shining moments the season had. Cumulatively? She probably doesn't deserve a nomination, but if you look at her work in any of those three episodes, she does.
Working Against Her: Leaving aside the quality of her submission possibilities this year, Fischer only has one nomination for "The Office" and it's doubtful that this season is going to find Emmy voters eager to honor the show.
