Alyson Hannigan, "How I Met Your Mother"

Nomination Status: Proximity to Neil Patrick Harris won't be enough.

In Her Favor: After missing much of last season due to her pregnancy (or due to that really rude joke Barney told the gang), Hannigan returned to full-time status this year and was one of the more consistently funny elements in an inconsistent season. Plus, in one episode she got to play Lily and Lily's stripper doppelganger. How could any Emmy voter be immune to that picture?

Working Against Her: Through five seasons, the only "How I Met Your Mother" cast member to get any Emmy attention is NPH. That's not going to change.
