Martin Starr of 'Party Down'
Martin Starr, "Party Down"
Nomination Status: No chance, sadly.
In His Favor: Why Martin Starr over Ryan Hansen or Ken Marino? Dunno. They're all worthy. Choices had to be made. We'll point to Starr's work in "Jackal Onassis Backstage Party" or "Steve Guttenberg's Birthday" and be done with it. Starr's excellence is part of why we're pretty sure "Party Down" would be capable of surviving the loss of much of its regular cast for a hypothetical third season.
Working Against Him: As we've mentioned before, nobody watches "Party Down." It's sad, but it's true. As much as nobody watches "Parks and Recreation" or "Community," they're like "American Idol" compared to "Party Down." Sigh.
