David Duchovny, "Californication"

Nomination Status: If they didn't love him by now, they're probably never gonna love him.

In His Favor: Almost nothing, really. In three years on the air, "Californication" has earned David Duchovny three Golden Globe nominations (and a win), compared to zero Emmy nominations. Maybe this is the year that Emmy voters finally warm to "Californication"? That was a little joke. "Californication" is what it's always been, for better or for worse.

Working Against Him: Again, "Californication" is what it is. If it had fans before, it still would. If it didn't (and it seems not to have), hard to know where it would have picked up new ones.
