Alison Pill of 'In Treatment"
Alison Pill, "In Treatment"
Nomination Status: We think "In Treatment" gets two nods in this category
Bottom Line: Will the second "In Treatment" nomination go to Hope Davis or to Alison Pill? They were both great on the show, so it isn't like a big mistake gets made either way. Davis is the respected veteran with the Tony and Golden Globe nominations on her resume. Pill is particularly respected in the New York theater work and there's the sense that she's a young actress on the rise, particularly after her appearance in "Milk." Pill also had the showier role. When we talk to regular "In Treatment" viewers, Pill is the one they talk about. But don't be surprised if more conservative Emmy voters perfect Davis, the known quantity.
