Nomination Status: Well, she *is* the defending champ
Bottom Line: A good friend who loves "In Treatment" and pays attention to things like Emmys had totally forgotten that Wiest won last year in this category. It was another dramatic and excellent year for "In Treatment" (or so people with longer attention spans tell us), so there's absolutely no reason why Wiest, a two-time Emmy and two-time Oscar winner, shouldn't be comfortable with her place in the nomination field.
