Bottom Line: We'd forgotten that Jean Smart was last year's Emmy winner in this unpredictable category. When we remembered, though, we weren't surprised or disappointed. Smart has been nominated for six Emmys, winning thrice and that's because few performers can do more with less. She comes in on "Samantha Who?" makes you laugh twice, smile once and then she's gone. That's efficient. Of course, "Samantha Who?" went from buzz-worthy comedy to cancelled in near-record time. Will Smart follow the Jaime Pressly path of winning one year and not being nominated the next?
