Aaron Paul of 'Breaking Bad'
Aaron Paul, "Breaking Bad"
Nomination Status: If there's a "Breaking Bad" wave, he rides it
Bottom Line: "Breaking Bad" had a surprisingly strong showing at the Emmys last year and most critics felt the show improved in its second season. If voters are appreciating the show and giving Bryan Cranston his second straight nomination, respect for Paul will also follow. The biggest question will be if Paul has paid his dues enough to break into a field of veterans. He's going to be on the cusp. If "Breaking Bad" ends up with only four or five nominations, he gets left out. If it gets, say, 10, he'll be in.
