With last year's winner Zeljko Ivanek out of the field, is the door open for a 'Lost' or 'Grey's Anatomy' star?

Jeremy Davies of 'Lost'
Jeremy Davies, "Lost"
Nomination Status: Has the right episode to make the field
Bottom Line: The affection of Emmy voters for "Lost" has waxed and waned, but voters have proven willing to nominate the show's supporting actors, when appropriate. Davies was really more of a guest actor on "Lost" this season, but all you need to get an Emmy is one good episode and Davies had a doozy. He'll submit "The Variable" and he'll be very deserving of his nomination. It helps that Terry O'Quinn didn't submit this year, or else Emmy voters would be forced to consider a "Lost" supporting actor trio, which wouldn't be likely. Davies, incidentally, should have been nominated for an Emmy for "Helter Skelter."
