John Noble of 'Fringe'
John Noble, "Fringe"
Nomination Status: Unlikely newbie
Bottom Line: We've moved out of the range of likely nominees and into the group of people would would be lucky to have a place in the Top 10. Noble was one of the only supporting performers from a new show to make much of an impact, playing "crazy" for both laughs and sympathy on "Fringe." It's a showy role and the kind of role which might have made Noble a sure-thing if "Fringe" were actually the sort of hit that FOX likes to pretend that it is. Noble benefits from the fact that even people who don't care for or about "Fringe" admit that he's fun to watch. Plus, he shares scenes with a likely Best Supporting Cow nominee.
