Nomination Status: A lock for a nod.
Bottom Line: Despite Emmy nominations three straight years, Sedgwick hasn't won the trophy and we still keep wanting to put an "e" in the middle of her last name. Our apologies. Sedgwick does have a Golden Globe win, but no Emmys in large part because of Sally Field's legacy-driven win two years ago. TNT is due for a breakthrough in this category, but can that breakthrough come against Close? Maybe if Emmy voters showed the same "Damages" fatigue that viewers showed?
