Losers: Tina Fey and Dianne Wiest
It was a night of repeat winners at the Emmys, but Fey and Wiest were the only actors to lose a category that they'd won the previous year. Several categories didn't have repeat winners, but that was because Jeremy Piven, Zjelko Ivanek and Jean Smart weren't nominated. Fey and Wiest had to watch Toni Collette and Cherry Jones steal the Emmys from their hands. Of course, Wiest has two Oscars and Fey won two additional Emmys this year (there she is holding one in this very picture!), so neither one of them is really a loser at all. But Emmy voters favor the incumbent and these were two incumbents who lost. Kinda.
